For we
have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness
of the power will be of God and not from ourselves. 2

An Introduction To Our
Site
Our purpose is to encourage and support pastors of small churches and their congregations. The small church is the backbone of the Church and is the locale of the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Much of the effort is to encourage the preaching of the Gospel message, the great work of the Church in the world. We believe this is the first priority of the Body of Christ. We have on the back wall of our chapel these great words from Romans 10:17, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."
This site will feature serials of two of my books, Are You Being Duped? and For Pastors of Small Churches. It is my great desire to give pastors tools to their ministries and to encourage them to be about the main business of preaching the gospel.
From Death into Life, by William Haslam, will be serialized in this magazine. One of our church members found this delightful book, written in the 1860's, in a used book store. After several of us scoured the internet for copies and found it was out of print and rare, we decided to reprint it ourselves. It is currently available through your local bookstore or from Amazon.com. We offer it here believing it to be of valuable in distinguishing between true and false conversion.
A number of sections of our site will be devoted
to the writings of great Christian writers of
the past. Their messages, as well as their
styles and methods of preaching are of great
value to us as we press forward to the mark to
which we are called. Currently our site will feature a serial of a most helpful book by William Haslam, From Death into Life.

We have a number of men and women on our staff who will contribute articles in their areas of interest, such as, church history, Christ in the Old Testament, ministry to the Jews, teaching children and ministry to singles and couples.
Yours in Christ,
Kent Philpott
